There are a lot of bad reasons to hate the Yankees. (Like, "They always win.") Every once in a while, however, they give you a very good reason. The idea of wanting a win that results from a hurricane is just . . . well, that'll be a great one to rack up in the W column.
Bastards.
I was thinking the same thing. I know that rules are rules. But there are EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES in which rules can be modified. I hope the commissioner takes the high road here and makes the Yankees look like the bastards they're being.

[ link ]Just between us (my NY-born husband is a lifelong Yankees fan, and I will totally deny saying this) -- have you see how they're playing lately? 22-0? They may have concluded that a weasel move is the only way to win, even when it's the Devil Rays.
