I know I've done nothing but pimp myself this week, practically, but I'm marking my first anniversary writing for MSNBC.com by once again doing some of their Emmy coverage. Two pieces are up now -- one about improving the actual awards show, and the other about handicapping the awards without watching any of the shows.
Plus, things are still popping over at Salon.com with me and Franken and Wheaton and such, and the first The Apprentice recap is up, just in time for tonight's Survivor premiere to wreak further havoc. You can see why I currently have a bugged-out, freaky expression on my face.
I mean, I can complain, but really, I'm having an awesome time right now.
freelance scandal manager - hee! and word! And that bugged out, freaky expression really becomes you.

[ link ]Thanks for the links! -- even if I am coming to this, as per usual, a few days later. Loved the MSNBC pieces. You're quite right about the lack of adult romantic-comedy banter on the airwaves these days, and I (like others) had somehow not noticed. We used to be knee-deep in Moonlighting and Remington Steele and such, and it took you to remind us that that's missing now.
Wheaton's diis on reality TV was tired and ill-informed, but I do join him in wishing that Battle of the Network Stars would come back as an annual event. It was trashy, but boy was it fun.
And you remain the champ at slipping in those parentheses that need a second look after the fact. "...or, if we care about our health, a beer." Hee.
See you tonight at TARcon!
