You know, good for Friends, but I seriously had to tune out after a while out of complete disgust at the kissing of Aaron Sorkin's ass. That show isn't worth a dime anymore, and the season finale -- which I recapped, thank you very much -- sucked so utterly that the very notion of its having garnered nominations made me laugh out loud. As usual, awards aren't really for the people who get them, but for the people who give them.

I do wonder if Sorkin was laughing at us TWoP people in his drug-addled head while they were getting the awards. I really can't believe that show won best drama, but they already gave out their one unexpected Emmy to the guy from The Shield.

I resolved then and there that if I ever got an Emmy or any such award, I would dedicate it to Aaron Sorkin, and then point out that I had won it without ever having smoked crack -- like, not even a little.

I'm sure you can imagine how much and loudly I was screeching every time one of his goddamn Moonies talked about him like he was the second coming of Eugene Freaking O'Neill.

I usually like The West Wing, but I have to agree that the show didn't deserve all of those Emmys. Allison Janney and John Spencer, yes; Best Drama, no. Last season sucked. The first two seasons were deserving of Emmys, but Season 3 drove me nuts, especially the season finale. Maybe next year The Sopranos will give them some much-needed competition.
