I'm pretty much the only person in the weblog universe who thinks Lileks, aside from the Gallery of Regrettable Food -- which Wendy did better anyway -- is kind of an unfunny hack. Yay for Marcy's Enchilada! I could totally caulk my bathroom tile with that garbage. I'd buy photocopies of those Wendy cards if I could. Wendy did an excellent job with the WW cards, but the Gallery of Regrettable Food fit into the larger context of the Institute of Official Cheer, which collectively is both really funny and a better take on American suburbia than 90% of pop-culture treatments of the subject. (My standard line on Lileks is that The Corrections would have been a much better book if he'd written it.)
