I've seen Gigli massacred by a lot of people, but nobody has done it any better than Caple at Page 2. I'm telling you, this is my favorite destination for great writing these days. Posted by Alison-Jane at August 12, 2003 07:12 AMComments
Rock on. Between Wiley, Caple, and Simmons, Page 2 has been a staple of my daily reading for several years. :) Posted by: The Judge on August 12, 2003 08:50 AMAfter losing two hours of my life to The Avengers, I've carefully screened my movie choices. Thank God this move didn't make it under the wire. Posted by: linewalker on August 12, 2003 09:14 AMRemaking Casablanca? What? Oh, ow, my head. Tell me this is a joke. Now I remember why I never watch celebrity press. I think some sort of horrible hole in space might be created if that much good and horrible are forced to interact. Posted by: Claudia on August 12, 2003 01:16 PMWith all the bad press Gigli has received (it's the lowest-rated movie on IMDB!) I think I need to see it. I'd hate for twenty years to go by and then have to say "Oh, sure, I could have seen the worst movie ever, but then I decided not to bother." Movies like these come along only every few years. Posted by: Monty on August 13, 2003 08:18 PMI cannot express to you in words how absolutely terrible this movie was. And I normally love Ben Afflack. Watching him struggle like this was beyond painful. My mother paid for tickets and I still wanted my money back! Pain beyond my previous experience, and I even went to see Blues Brothers 2000. Honestly, this movie is hazardous to your world view. What small store of optimism I once possessed has died. Think I'm exaggerrating? Then go ahead and see the movie. We'll suffer together.
