This slide show about the state quarters is very funny. I particularly enjoyed what they have to say about the horrible outline coins and the St. Louis Arch. I'm sure Minnesota will have a loon. Snore.

Now that cannot be the outcome he was hoping for.

I'm glad someone thinks Big Brother is enjoyable, but speaking as someone who has to spend an awful lot of time analyzing it intensely, I have to say it makes me rather batty.

I love it when Fametracker does a "2 Stars, 1 Slot" where I don't even realize that those are indeed two different guys who I make into one guy in my head until they point it out. This is a perfect example. Those are, indeed, two different guys. Shocking, I know.

It's hard to fully convey the bittersweet quality of the Twins' season. You love them -- you've got to love them -- but it's sad, because they'll probably cease to exist within a year or two. And even if they don't, they'll probably be relocated to a market where someone is willing to put up a few hundred million dollars for a stadium. And even if they aren't, they'll be scattered to the winds, sent off to teams that can afford to pay them what they're worth. People who say there is enduring beauty in baseball are right, but so are people who say it's damn depressing. This ESPN piece does a nice job of taking the positive approach.

Whew. Sorry for the delay.

Okay, so the other day, I saw a flashing banner ad somewhere or other for this site, and it just made me laugh. It's auto-racing related, of course, but it occurred to me that I need this number every day of my life. What number is that? Oh, it's 1-800-BE-PETTY.
